In those great halls, where a final visitor once reflected upon the end of an era, in an age that seemed to be centuries ago, the crumbled statues of hero's long gone, hold their silent, eternal vigil. Though the sun will rise and fall, as it has a thousand times since the close of that age, the sole remaining citizens of the temple will pay it no notice. Their marble faces, those who remain intact, show no emotion, just quiet reverance. A mournful scene, by all definitions of the phrase.
But then a whisper echoes through the empty halls, bouncing across the stone pillars and along the cracked floors. The sound creeps over the indifferent statues, passes through the torn banners of wars long past, and rebounds off the domed ceiling. It slinks up the stairs and caresses the long empty throne, from which a voice, very similiar to itself, once rallied the arms of a few to topple the might of the many.
Almost as quickly as it emerges, it fades away. The empty throne atop which it fleetingly sat continues to look out across the sun-bathed plains that was once it's owners domain, as it always has. But, if any of these inanimate relics could think, if any of these gravestones could feel, they would know the air in this long vacant temple had changed, for the first time in ages. The whisper had left it's invisible mark across the empty halls and somehow awakened what had long been sleeping. Even now, riders can be heard to the east, coming across the vast plains toward the dark temple that sits atop the plateau. The whisper had signaled the impossible to be possible, the unthinkable to be the fact.
All this, from the mere mention of those infamous, three letters of old....g S o.
And with this mention, it begins anew. And like no man, nor woman, has seen before...

2/28/02 - 4:59pm - the ICE man -Massive update today:

>New Page > Apprentice Ancalagon's Quarters Updated > Barracks
Updated > Rules and the Tenants of War
-I plan this to be the last big Freeservers template update, as I hope to get a copy of AOL Press from Rabid very soon. Then I can start work on the real page, with Rabid's generous help of course. I know, I know, gSo is a clan without many active games right now, but as I've explained, I entertain myself with the webpage as much as I entertain myself with the game itself. Expect the official home of the Great Sith Order to be up and running within the next two weeks or so.
- It begins...
-Speaking of which, Jedi Knight II : Jedi Outcast is scheduled for release on April 1st. Also, Star Wars Galaxies has had it's release date pushed up to Fall 2002. Stop by either of their official homepages for more info.
-There's been a topic of hot debate lately, as to who will even be able to run these games anytime soon. I know I will be able to support JKII, and probably Galaxies on my current computer without a problem. Apoc hopes to upgrade or buy a new computer within the next few months. I urge anyone who can to make an attempt to get your computer up to speed for at least JKII, but Jedi Knight mulitplayer is the best part of the game, and I don't fancy being the only gSo on the Zone. Do what you can, don't go sacrificing money better spent otherwise.
-I decided that I will open gSo once again to Public Recruitment on June 12th, 2002.
-Both Malice and I have acquired "Galactic Battlegrounds", and I hope to get the rest of you into this soon. It's a kool game, albeit unimaginative in it's use of the AoE engine. Entertaining to say the least.
-Go see Fellowship of the Ring again, that movie kicked ass, even though I hated the book. While talking about LotR, I should endorse the soundtrack as well, its one of the best non-SW soundtracks I've ever heard. The song about _____'s death makes me wanna cry (name omitted for those who don't want movie/book spoiled). If your interested, just tell me and I can burn you a copy. I should also say that I'm finally reading The Two Towers, and so far it's pretty good. A welcome absence of Frodo Baggins so far.
-76 days to Attack of the Clones. A review of the script was posted a few days ago, and it was reportedly, "the best Star Wars script since 'Empire'". Remember, I'm a purist, and I loved Phantom Menace, but it's nice to see even the irritating traitor-fans enjoying EPII.
-RAW was pretty weak this week, but Hogan did have an amusing monologue with a Rock-standup. Only two and a half weeks to Wreslemania!
-Remember, ICON and EPII toys are coming.
-Finally, the Episode II Theatrical Trailer (also known as Trailer D), which will focus primarily on the non-love story part of the film, will be premiered on FOX, just before 9pm on March 10th. Setting VCR now. God, I truly have no life.
stick to the plan for the Fall of Man,
