Great Sith Order

"Through blood I've walked, and my trail is long."

Darth Malice, the Feared. Apprentice to Dark Lord Icion, Heir to the throne of Barador, the destroyer of Somain.

To the one known as Darth Malice, there is no virtue in pity. Practicing a more strict interpretation of his Master's opinion on mercy, Malice is known for his brutal and unforgiving tactics. Quickly, he has earned a name for himself, even while standing amongst the legendary heros of the Great Zone War.

Malice was once known as Kieyeran Seinas, son of Garand Seinas, King of Barador. Barador was once referred to as "The Lands of Noble Men", a vast kingdom that governs over the world of Elil, in the Fanrel system. This kingdom was well-known for it's artisans and rejection of any form of multiple-world imperialism, though it would be easily within their grasp to take all of the Fanrel system. Also, the courtly government is well-aquainted with the New Republic, but abstains from membership. A isolationist world, mostly, which has remained so for over seven thousand years, with the brief exception of a ten year Galactic Imperial occupation.

The Seinas line had ruled over Barador for over a thousand years when Keiyeran was born. The only son to Garand Seinas, Keiyeran was rightful heir to the throne. The continuation of the Seinas line was well-celebrated throughout Barador, for the Seinas family had led the kingdom through it's thousand year golden age. The stability of Barador hinged on the stability of the monarchy.

But as Keiyeran grew, it became apparent that he was unlike the traditional successors. His speed, strength and uncanny knack for premonition led many to question his normality. After some debate, the Seinas family agreed to have Keiyeran tested for abnormalities, seeking an explanation for their son's gifts. What they found was evidence of a powerful Force-adept, going unused within Keiyeran's soul.

Barador had always openly supported the Jedi. In fact, Elilian legend tells that it was a Jedi Master who settled the tribal conflicts of their ancestors and helped establish the system of government they practiced today. But, the isolationist policy of the kingdom prevented Keiyeran from recieving the proper training to enhance his gifts. The matter underwent serious debate, until it was finally resolved that Keiyeran would be allowed to attend the Jedi Praxeum, but only on the condition that he return to rule Barador upon his twenty-first birthday. With high hopes, the ten year old son of Garand Seinas left Elil, bound for Yavin 4. Accompanying the aspiring Jedi were his cousins, Eleorem and Celindra, who were deemed his personal protectors during his eleven-year stay at the Praxeum.

Unfortunately, Keiyeran would never see the Praxeum. Instead, his journey was beset with tragedy. First ambushed by pirates, the three members of the Royal Family of Barador narrowly escaped, but were forced to jump blindly into the Unknown Regions. Their hardship continued, as they emerged from hyperspace, deep within the Zone. Their ship was shot down in the crossfire of a clan skirmish, and they crashed on a world, known simply as CTD 14-1.

As his cousins attempted futile repairs on their wrecked ship, Keiyeran watched the skies blaze with the conflict they had jumped into. He was amazed by the sight of violence, for such a concept had been shielded from him as he had grown. However, this morbid interest soon turned to cold worry, as he, Eleorem and Celindra watched a drop ship descend into the atmosphere above them. They tracked the ships course as it fell to it's landing, only a mile away. His cousins hurried to pack their few belongings and flee, but the descended clansmen were too quickly upon them.

Later, he would be informed they were members of the dominating clan of the Zone, M.D., but then all he knew of them was torture. Torture given for no reason other than their own amusement. He witnessed the slow death of Eleorem, and the brutal plundering of Celindra, at the climax of which came her own demise. The clansmen intended to save Keiyeran, the youngest, for last. What they didn't expect, was the power within Keiyeran to turn dark, and fully awaken.

As the cowardly warriors approached Keiyeran, moments from his assured demise, something deep within the boy died. And with it's death, came the violent, white hot power of rage. The power of the dark side. Acting on instinct alone, Keiyeran called on the Force, lifting six of the nine warriors from the ground, and crushing them with the invisible hand of darkness. Two of the remaining three turned to run, but only made it a matter of yards before dark lighting halved them, their corpses falling in mid-stride. The remaining clansmen was frozen in terror, and stood unbelieving at the sight before him. Eight of his companions, warriors he'd seen survive battle after battle against vicious hordes of rival clansmen, had just been savagely destroyed by a mere boy, an unarmed boy. Before this thought could even complete, he felt the boy's attention turn on him, immediatley followed by a burning sensation across his entire body. At first, he though it to be mere terror, but then he noticed the smoke rising from his melting flesh. He turned to see the boy's eyes boring into him, ablaze with hatred. And he too was soon ablaze, in a more literal sense, as his skin combusted and he toppled into a screaming heap of, soon-to-be, charred remains.

After the last of his tormentors was gruesomely dispatched, Keiyeran fainted. When he awoke the next morning, he had forgotten the entire event, everything after his cousins' murder was nothing but darkness. After rising, he took the dead clansmen's drop ship, with no knowledge of how he had come to grasp it's controls, and flew it from the world, and out of the Zone.

The next fifteen years were spent living day to day, thriving as a mercenary. It was during this time he recieved his reputation as the "Destroyer of Somain", a Hutt-controlled spice colony. A random hit-and-run job had become a bloodbath when he had been discovered planting the bomb within the colony's superstructure. Unable to conceal his task any longer, Keiyeran, although he went by the name Taras Drenti then, proceeded to butcher the colony's security force, before eliminating the entire plant via arial bombardment from his personal assault gunboat.

Taran Drenti now prided himself at his skill at single combat, and vowed he could best any warrior in the galaxy. However, after a job gone wrong, he was forced to jump back into the Unknown Regions. By chance, he stumbled across a rarely used hyperspace checkpoint, where a single craft had been waiting, re-calculating for another jump. The craft was the "Ariana Rose", and Keiyeran decided it would provide suitable amusement to bolster his spirits following the failure of his last endeavor. However, before he could so much as power up his weapons, the ship's supposed captain invited him aboard. It was if the man was reading his mind, and challenged Keiyeran to single combat, knowing he could not refuse.

Taking the challenge, Keiyeran Seinas docked with the "Ariana Rose", and faced Darth Icion is single combat; his blaster against this man's lightsaber.

The battle lasted 4.7 seconds.

Keiyeran was stunned at how easily he had been beaten, and even more stunned when the man spared his life. Instead, he was offered a chance. A chance to prove himself worthy to explore the power Icion had felt within him.

Not so much for fear of death, but more for interest in the style of the man who had bested him, Keiyeran agreed. And with that, Keiyeran Seinas died, and Darth Malice was born.

Years later, the man once called Keiyeran Seinas, heir to the throne of Barador, climbed the steps of the Grand Temple, and prepared to take part in a conflict of greater proportions than he had ever imagined, and to use the skills he had gained during his years of training to avenge the deaths of his long-fallen family...
